Adsense Mistakes

There are many ways people try and make there Adsense more profitable. Unfortunately they use tactics which violate the Terms of Service (TOS) at Google. This invariably leads to being banned and earning absolutely no money! The last thing that you want. Here are some classic mistakes that have resulted in people previously being banned.
Placing too many ads on your site not only goes against the TOS but means that visitors are bombarded with a pageful of ads. They will see your website and leave very quickly.
Not reading the TOS is a bad mistake. Get used to what you can and can't do, and if in doubt, ask the Google team.
Do not change the code that Google gives you. This is a sure fire way to get yourself banned. This includes changing font style and size.
Do not try and cheat the system by creating anything like a group of people that will click your ads. You will get found out and banned.
Do not label the ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements". This includes any text directly above the ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads.
Don't create websites to just display ads. It is part of the policy that your website must contain some viable content for the visitor.
Adsense mistakes can cost you not only your reputation but also your money. If you are becoming successful through Adsense then why bother to risk what you have earnt by using techniques which will eventually get found out.
There are a lot of vigilant people out there that are prepared to contact Google at the first siting of a website that breaks the TOS. Make sure that you always comply with what is stated in the TOS, but if you are ever unsure the best people to ask are the support team at Google, they will inform you on whether you are complying with the TOS and will let you know what to do if you are not.

Adsense Tips

Trying to maximise your profits with Google can be a hard challenge! However with the right information you can make a solid start on ensuring your Google Ads work best for you. Below are some hints and tips that I have learnt whilst using Google to earn a living.
Some keywords pay more than others. If you are serious about making money with Adsense, aim to display ads with keywords that pay the most.
Blending your links is important to increase your earnings. Use the same color links for the ads, as the ones on your website.
If you have an article, it is a good idea to put an ad at the end of it. After people read something they look for somewhere else to go.
Your site needs visitors in the first instance, work on your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) so that people can find your website.
Keep your visitors coming back to your site, offer them content that they will be interested in.
An increasingly popular "trick" is to place images next to the ads, this draws the visitors attention to the ads.
Adsense is increasingly becoming harder and harder to master. Trial and error is probably one of the best ways to try and maximise your profit. Try changing your content so that different ads appear and monitor the difference in earnings. There isn't much luck involved in becoming successful with adsense, it is very dependant on the website. As I mentioned previously, the utter key is getting visitors to your site. It makes perfect sense, the more people that visit your site, the more likely it is someone will click on an ad! Once you have your visitors flowing in, then it is time to work on the placement of your ads. If you have a long article it is best to break it up with an adsense block within the article, whereas if the article is short, placing an ad at the end of the article will give the reader somewhere else to look after they have finished reading.
Monitoring your adsense account and setting up channels to understand where your clicks are coming from is vital. It will highlight what you are doing wrong if some of your pages are doing better than others.
